Booking and Cancellation Policy
Out of the Woods Counselling Practice is committed to offering a high quality and consistent level of care to its clients. We understand that life happens and unexpected circumstances can occur, but we also deeply value our counsellor’s and clients’ time.
To balance the needs of our clients and counsellor, and to ensure that this practice can continue to care for the community, there is a Booking and Cancellation Policy in place.
Bookings
All new and existing clients can book sessions directly in the Out of the Woods Client Portal.
When you have booked your first session, you will receive a few intake forms (consent form, intake form, booking and cancellation policy, and privacy policy) via the Client Portal and email. All intake forms must be completed at least 24 hours prior to your first session. By completing them on time, you allow your counsellor enough time to adequately prepare for your first session. If you don’t complete the paperwork within the required timeframe, your session may be cancelled or delayed.
Fees
All current session types and fees can be accessed here.
Medicare and private health rebates are currently not available.
Payment
Full payment of the session is required at the time of booking. Payments can be made on the Client Portal at the time of booking.
Invoices can also be accessed via the Client Portal.
Payment can be made via credit card and debit card. If you would like to pay via bank transfer, please contact yasmine@outofthewoodscounselling.net directly before booking your appointment.
Payment must be received at least 72 hours prior to your appointment. If payment isn’t received on time, your appointment will be cancelled. All payments are non-refundable once they have been processed.
Cancelling and Rescheduling
Sessions can be cancelled or rescheduled by the client on the Client Portal.
If you cancel more than 48 hours prior to the session start time, no cancellation fee is charged. The payment for your cancelled session will be put towards a rescheduled session.
If you cancel within 48 hours prior to the session start time, the full session fee will be charged for the cancelled appointment.
Other Information
Out of the Woods Counselling Practice reserves the right to change this Booking and Cancellation Policy.
