You’re feeling unhappy with your body, and you’re tired of feeling this way.
Maybe it started at a young age and you’ve been dealing with this for years.
Or maybe it’s recent. You’ve experienced a big life event, pregnancy, or illness that left your body looking different than it did before, and you’re finding it hard to accept.
You feel pressured to try diets, exercise programs, and lifestyle changes that don’t work and have only made you feel worse about yourself.
And now you’re wondering what it would be like if you developed a relationship with your body that’s rooted in acceptance.
You want to find out what it’s like to have more positive thoughts about your body, to trust your body, and to be at peace without feeling the need to change yourself.
You’re ready to be yourself.
A counsellor with a wealth of lived experience
Lived experience is important, especially in therapy. Sometimes you might not feel fully understood by a therapist who hasn’t had the same life experiences as you.
I bring a wealth of lived experience to my work as a counsellor. As a fat woman, I have a deep level of understanding of the challenges that come with making peace with your body, challenging beauty standards, and breaking free from diet culture.
Living in a body that doesn’t fit into the thin ideal and living life free from the influence of diet culture isn’t easy, but it’s a radical act of resistance.
I’m here to make you feel heard, understood, and supported. You are not alone.
